Roll Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Roll Rate Sensor Replacement
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait for 3 minutes
before starting work.
2. Remove the front passenger's seat See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation.
3. Disconnect the SRS wire harness 2P connector (A) from the roll rate sensor.
4. Remove the TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the roll rate sensor (C).
Installation
1. Install the roll rate sensor (A) with a new TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then connect the SRS wire harness 2P connector (C) to the roll
rate sensor.
2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures.
3. Clear any DTCs with the HDS See: Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
4. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then go
off.
5. Reinstall all removed parts.
