Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CMP Sensor A Replacement
1. Remove the air cleaner See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and
Repair.
2. Remove the air bypass outlet pipe See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Intercooler/Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the CMP sensor A 3P connector (A).
4. Remove CMP sensor A (B) from the intake camshaft side of the cylinder head.
5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C).
