Resetting the Engine Oil Life Display

Service Codes".
The display should be reset after completing the required maintenance service. If done properly you will see "OIL LIFE 100%" on the display the next
time you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
Once the required maintenance service has been performed reset the maintenance minder as follows:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
2. If the oil life minder. is not displayed, press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until it is.
3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel for more than 10 seconds, The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on
the multi-information display.
To reset the engine oil life, press the button with up and down arrow icons on the steering wheel to select RESET on the display, and press the SEL/
RESET button.
To cancel resetting the oil life, press the button with up and down arrow icons on the steering wheel to select CANCEL on the display, and press the
SEL/ RESET button.
If you do not complete the reset procedure within 30 seconds after selecting the reset mode, the mode will be canceled automatically.
Important Maintenance Precautions
If you perform the required service but do not reset the display, or reset the display with out performing the service, the system will not show the proper
maintenance intervals. This can lead to serious mechanical problems because you will no longer have an accurate record of when maintenance is needed.
