Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Description and Operation

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensors 1 and 2

ECT sensors 1 and 2 are temperature dependent resistors (thermistors). The resistance of the thermistor decreases as the engine coolant temperature
increases.
