Steering Wheel Upshift (+) Switch Test
Steering Wheel Upshift (+) Switch Test
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures in the SRS before performing
repair or service.
1. Remove the steering wheel.
2. Check the steering wheel upshift (+) switch for continuity between steering wheel switch harness 20P connector terminals No. 15 and No. 7. There
should be continuity while pressing the steering wheel upshift (+) switch, and no continuity when the switch is released.
3. The steering wheel upshift (+) switch test is finished if the test result is OK.
If the switch works incorrectly at the 20P connector, test the switch at the switch connector.
4. Remove the steering wheel upshift (+) switch connector from its holder, and disconnect the connector.
5. Check the steering wheel upshift (+) switch for continuity between the switch connector terminals while pressing the switch and when the switch is
released. There should be continuity while pressing the switch, and no continuity when the switch is released.
6. Replace the steering wheel upshift (+) switch if the switch works incorrectly.
7. Replace the steering wheel switch harness if the switch is OK.
