Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Rear Door Outer Handle Replacement
NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1. Remove these items:

Door panel See: Front Door/Front Door Weatherstrip/Service and Repair/Front Door Weatherstrip Replacement

Door glass inner weatherstrip See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Door Panel Removal/Installation

Plastic cover See: Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair

Glass See: Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the connector (A), and remove the screws (B, C), then lower the latch (D).
3. Remove the access seal (A). Using a clip remover, disconnect the outer handle rod (B) from the outer handle.
4. Replace the bushing (A) with a new one on the outer handle.
NOTE: Do not reuse the bushing when you disconnect the outer handle rod.
5. While holding the outer handle cover (B) from outside of the door, loosen the bolt, and then release the hooks (C) of the outer handle cover, then
remove the cover and the outer handle holder from the outer handle base (D).
