Cruise Control Switch: Testing and Inspection

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Distance Switch Test

1. Remove the driver's airbag.  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Driver's Airbag

Replacement

2. Disconnect the 20P connector (A) from the cable reel.

3. Check for continuity between 20P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 14.

-

There should be continuity with the distance switch pressed.

-

There should be no continuity with the distance switch released.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the cruise control combination switch assembly.  See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and
