SYMPTOM
While driving, the MIL comes on, along with MID and navigation screen messages from the SAS (steering angle sensor), the VSA (vehicle stability
assist) system, the CMBS (collision mitigation braking system) or the AFS (adaptive front lighting system).
PROBABLE CAUSE
A software problem with the steering angle sensor causes faulty data to be sent to the vehicle control units that are dependent on SAS input.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the steering angle sensor (SAS). The SAS is installed in the combination switch body on the steering column.
