7. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
8. Disconnect gauge control module connector A (20P).
9. Check for continuity between cable reel 20P connector terminal No. 16 and gauge control module connector terminal A2.
Is there continuity?
YES - Check the illumination control circuit in the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and
Warning Indicators/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/How to Troubleshoot the Gauges and Indicators
NO - Repair open in the wire between cable reel 20P connector terminal No. 16 and gauge control module.
10. Disconnect the paddle shifter + (upshift switch) connector.
11. Check for continuity between paddle shifter + (upshift switch) connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the steering switch harness. See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Wheel/Service and Repair/Overhaul
NO - Replace the paddle shifter + (upshift switch). See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Paddle Shifter + (Upshift Switch)
