Headlamp Washer Motor: Testing and Inspection
Headlight Washer Motor Test/Replacement
Canada models
1. Pull back the front section of the right front inner fender. See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender Liner/Service and Repair/Front

2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the washer motor (B).
3. Test the motor by connecting battery power to the terminal No. 1 and grounding the terminal No. 2 of the headlight washer motor. The motor
should run.

If the motor does not run smoothly, replace it.

If the motor runs smoothly, but little or no washer fluid is pumped, check for a disconnected or blocked washer hose, or a clogged washer
motor outlet.
4. Disconnect the tube (C), then remove the bolt and bracket (D).
5. Disconnect the headlight washer motor from the washer reservoir.
6. Install the headlight washer motor in the reverse order of removal. If the gasket (E) is damaged, replace it.
