Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures before performing repairs or service.

1. Remove:

Front seat

-

Rear seat cushion

-

Front and rear side trim

-

Kick panel Front and rear door trim

-

Front seat belt lower anchor

-

Center pillar trim

-

Rear heater cover

-

Console panel and rear console, '96 - 98 models

-

Console panel and rear console, '99 - 04 models

-

Dashboard lower cover (passenger's)

Glove box Opener cover

2. Remove the accelerator pedal stop and footrest.

3. Remove the console lower carpet from each side. Cut area (A) in the carpet, then pull it back as shown.
