Fuel Gauge Sender: Testing and Inspection
Testing
WARNING: Do not smoke while working on the fuel system. Keep open flame away from your work area.
1. Remove the seat cushion .
2. Remove the access panel.
3. With the ignition switch OFF, disconnect the 3P connector from the fuel gauge sending unit.
4. Remove the fuel gauge sending unit.
5. Measure the resistance between the No.1 and No.2 terminals at E (EMPTY), 1/2 (HALF FULL) and F (FULL) by moving the float.
If you do not get the above readings, replace the fuel gauge sending unit.
