Power Door Lock Actuator: Testing and Inspection
Door Lock Actuator Test
Driver's Door
1. Remove the driver's door panel.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the actuator (B).
3. Check actuator operation by connecting power to the No. 1 terminal and ground the No. 2 terminal for a moment.
The actuator should move to LOCK.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage momentarily.
4. Check actuator operation by connecting power to the No. 2 terminal and ground the No. 1 terminal for a moment.
The actuator should move to UNLOCK.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage momentarily.
5. If the actuator does not work as specified, replace it.
Passenger's Door
1. Remove the passenger's door panel.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the actuator (B).
3. Check actuator operation by connecting power to the No. 1 terminal and ground the No. 2 terminal fora moment.
The actuator should move to LOCK.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage momentarily
4. Check actuator operation by connecting power to the No. 2 terminal and ground the No. 1 terminal for a moment.
The actuator should move to UNLOCK.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage momentarily.
