Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Mainshaft and Countershaft Speed Sensors Replacement

Input shaft (Mainshaft) and Output shaft (Countershaft) Speed Sensor Replacement

1. Disconnect the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor connector and output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor connector.

2. Remove the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor (A) and output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor (B).
3. Install the new O-ring (C) on the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor, and install the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor in the transmission

housing.

4. Install the new O-ring (D) on the output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor, and install the output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor in the

transmission housing.

5. Check the connectors for rust, dirt, or oil, then connect the connectors securely.
