MIL Comes On With DTC P1457

SYMPTOM

The MIL comes on with DTC P1457 (EVAP control system leakage).

PROBABLE CAUSE

The EVAP solenoid valve (fuel vent module) is blocked or restricted.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Install an EVAP solenoid valve kit.

DIAGNOSIS

1.

Connect the HDS to the DLC (data link connector), and check for DTCs.

Is DTC P1457 stored?

Yes - Clear the DTC, then go to step 2.
