Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation
If air conditioning system pressure drops below 176.5 ± 19.6 kPa (25.6 ± 2.8 psi), indicating a loss of refrigerant or refrigerant oil, the A/C pressure
switch will open to prevent compressor damage. If system pressure exceeds 2942 ± 196.1 kPa (426.6 ± 28.4 psi), the A/C pressure switch will open to
prevent compressor damage.
