Fuel Gauge: Description and Operation
The fuel gauge consists of two intersecting coils wound around a permanent magnet rotor (see engine coolant temperature gauge, for operation). The fuel
tank unit's resistance varies from approximately 17 ± 0.8 ohms with fuel tank full to infinite ohms (infinite resistance) with the tank empty.
