Shift Cable: Adjustments
1. Obtain five digit radio theft protection code as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Remove center console, then lock pin from link adjuster.

3. Insert 4 mm pin into shift lever bracket through the neutral position cut out of shifter, Fig. 7.
4. Turn ignition switch on, verify that neutral indicator lamp comes on.
5. Check that hole in the link adjuster is perfectly aligned with hole in link rod.
6. Torque lock nut to 5 ft. lbs., then install lock pin on adjuster.
7. Move gear selector to each position to verify that gear position indicator follows gear position switch.
8. Install center console.
