Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
1. Remove the master cylinder.
Note: '97 - 98 Models Is Shown.
2. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
3. Remove the canister from the bracket, and move it aside. Do not disconnect the hoses from the canister.
4. Remove the cotter pin and clevis pin from the clevis.
CAUTION: Do not disconnect the clevis by removing it from the operating rod of the brake booster. If the clevis is loosened, adjust the pushrod
length before installing the brake booster.
5. Remove the four booster mounting nuts.
6. Pull the brake booster forward until the clevis is clear of the bulkhead.
7. Remove the brake booster from the engine compartment.
