BACKGROUND
Prolonged high under-hood temperatures may cause the power steering hose to deteriorate prematurely and may cause the hose to crack and leak power
steering fluid. Power steering fluid leaking onto a hot catalytic converter will generate smoke and could lead to an under-hood fire.
CLIENT NOTIFICATION
Owners of affected vehicles will begin receiving notifications of this campaign the last week of April 2008. An example of the client notification letter is
at the end of this service bulletin.
