Peel back the HFL connector harness tape about 2 inches. Locate the YEL wire in the HFL control unit connector (terminal cavity No. 28).

Cut the YEL wire about 2 inches from the end of the connector.
8.
Insulate the cut wire ends and the wire harness with electrical tape:

Tape the cut wire ends.

Bend back the harness side of the cut wire, and tape it to the harness.
^
Tape the connector side of the cut wire to the harness wires.
