Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Mainshaft/Countershaft Speed Sensors
Replacement
WARNING: Make sure lifts, lacks and safety stands are placed properly, and hoist brackets are attached to the correct position on the engine.
1. Pull the carpet back to expose the secondary heated oxygen sensor (HO2S sensor 2) connector. Disconnect the connector, then push it out to the
outside.
NOTE: The HO2S (sensor 2) connector is located under the passenger's seat.
2. Remove the HO2S (sensor 2) harness cover, then remove the three way catalytic converter.
3. Remove the exhaust pipe A cover, then remove the exhaust pipe A.
4. Remove the heat shields.
