Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Yaw Rate-Lateral/Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Replacement
With SH-AWD
NOTE:
-
Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.

Do not use power tools.
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
2. Remove the center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Center
Console Removal/Installation.
3. MT: Remove the shift lever assembly See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Shifter M/T/Service and Repair/M/T
Shift Lever Housing Replacement.
4. Disconnect the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor 4P connector (A), then remove the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration
sensor (B).
5. Check for deformation in the bracket (C). If necessary replace it.
6. Install the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor in the reverse order of removal.
7. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning/VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization.
8. Do the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration neutral position memorization See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control
Systems/Relays and Modules - Transmission and Drivetrain/Relays and Modules - Differential/Control Unit/Testing and Inspection/Yaw
