TL AWD V6-3.7L (2010)
2. Remove the parking brake shoes, and disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake lever See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking
Brake System/Parking Brake Shoe/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
3. Remove the parking brake cable mounting nuts (A) from the backing plate (B), and remove the parking brake cable (C).
4. Remove the backing plate with the parking brake shoe assembly.
5. Remove the lock pin (A) from the upper arm ball joint, then remove the castle nut (B).
NOTE: During installation, install the lock pin as shown after tightening the new castle nut.
6. Disconnect the upper arm ball joint from the knuckle using the ball joint thread protector and the ball joint remover See: Suspension/Ball
Joint/Service and Repair/Ball Joint Removal.
NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot when installing the remover.

During installation, to connect the ball joint, raise up the suspension with a jack See: Suspension/Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Upper
