Rear Door Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair

Rear Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip Replacement

NOTE:

-

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

-

Take care not to scratch the door.

1. Remove these items:

-

Door panel  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Door Panel
Removal/Installation

-

Door panel bracket  See: Service and Repair

-

Plastic cover, as needed  See: Service and Repair

-

Door pad  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Door Pad Replacement

Rear pillar inner trim  See: Service and Repair

2. Raise the glass fully.

3. Remove the screws (A, B).

4. From the inside of the door, slide the clips (A) on the door glass outer weatherstrip (B) to release the hooks (C) from the flanges (D) on the door

panel.

5. Pull up the door glass outer weatherstrip (A), then remove the weatherstrip.

6. If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

7. Before installing the weatherstrip, slide the clips to the released position as in step 4.
