Hood Weatherstrip: Service and Repair
Hood Seal Replacement
1. Separate the double-sided adhesive tapes (A), then release the hood seal (B) from the hooks of the front bulkhead cover (C).
2. Carefully scrape off the remaining double-sided adhesive tape from the front bulkhead cover, then clean the cover surface with a sponge dampened
in isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the clean surface.
3. Apply PP primer to the areas where the new double-sided adhesive tapes (A) will be applied, then attach the new double-sided adhesive tapes to
the front bulkhead cover (B) as shown.
NOTE: Attach the double-sided adhesive tapes within the scribe lines (C).
