Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch E (6th Clutch) Replacement
Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch E (6th Clutch) Replacement
1. Do the battery removal procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove the air cleaner See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.
3. Remove the intake air duct See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Removal.
4. Remove the battery heat shield See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Removal.
5. Remove the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission Removal.
6. Remove the battery base See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Removal.
7. Disconnect the transmission fluid pressure switch E (6th clutch) connector, and remove transmission fluid pressure switch E (6th clutch) (A) and
the sealing washer (B).
8. Install a new transmission fluid pressure switch E (6th clutch) and a new sealing washer, and tighten the switch.
9. Check the connector for rust, dirt, or oil, and clean or repair if necessary, then connect the connector securely.
10. Install the battery base See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Installation.
11. Install the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Automatic Transmission Installation.
12. Install the battery heat shield See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Installation.
13. Install the intake air duct See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Installation.
