Front Impact Sensor Replacement
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes
before starting work.
2. Remove the front inner fender See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender Liner/Service and Repair/Front Inner Fender Replacement
.
3. Left side; remove the bolts (A), then remove the intake air resonator (B).
4. Disconnect the left or right front impact sensor 2P connector (A) on the left or right engine compartment wire harness.
5. Remove the TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the front impact sensor (C).
Installation
1. Install the front impact sensor (A) with new TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit. Connect the left or right front impact sensor 2P connector (C)
on the left or right engine compartment wire harness.
