Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Line Pressure Switch Replacement
Line Pressure Switch Replacement
1. Do the battery removal procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove the air cleaner See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and
Repair.
3. Remove the intake air duct See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission
Removal.
4. Remove the battery heat shield See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission
Removal.
5. Remove the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Automatic Transmission Removal.
6. Remove the battery base See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission
Removal.
7. Disconnect the line pressure switch connector, and remove the line pressure switch (A) and the sealing washer (B).
8. Install a new line pressure switch and a new sealing washer, and tighten the switch.
9. Check the connector for rust, dirt, or oil, and clean or repair if necessary, then connect the connector securely.

11. Install the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic
Transmission Installation.
12. Install the battery heat shield See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission
Installation.
13. Install the intake air duct See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Transmission
Installation.
