Positive Crankcase Ventilation And EGR Systems

A single vent is used for the crankcase breather and is located on the lower left side of the cylinder block. From there, the crankcase is vented to the
engine's intake through a connection at the intake air boot and throttle body.
At idle or other periods of high manifold vacuum, most of the crankcase fumes are drawn into the intake through the connection at the intake air boot,
which has a 1mm restrictor. When the throttle is opened, crankcase fumes will also be drawn in through the vacuum port at the throttle body.
