Heater Core Case: Service and Repair

Heater/Evaporator Box, Removing/Installing

-

Remove water box cover under hood.

-

Remove windshield wiper assembly.

-

Remove center console.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair

-

Remove cap from engine coolant over flow bottle.

-

Remove heater retaining band. (arrow 1)

-

Clamp off heater hoses to heater core and remove. (arrows)

-

Remove all retainers between body and heater.

3. Heater Box

-

Remove heater box.
-

Assembly/Disassembly.  See: Heater Core/Service and Repair

Note: Before installing heater box, always replace self-adhesive gasket.
