Cause

High voltage leakage through rips/tears in the insulation of ignition cable connectors. This can be caused by improper removal of ignition cable
connectors from spark plugs or disributor cap.

Service

Only use ignition cable pliers to remove cables from spark plugs and distributor caps.

Note ignition cable pliers are available through most tool suppliers i.e. Easco/KD Tools, Spark Plug Terminal Pliers No.135
