Revised transmission housing/oil capacity

(Supercedes Product Circ. 89-01, dated 8/28/89),

Beginning with manufacturing date 13 09 8 the 016 All Wheel Drive transmission has a revised oil capacity.

The oil filler hole in transmissions from 13 09 8 is located 15 mm higher than previously (dimension a)

previous capacity = 2.2 liters (2.33 qt.)

new capacity = 2.6 liters (2.75 qt.)

Note

The transmission is full when the oil level is 7 mm below the lower edge of the filler hole, however, during repairs the transmission can be filled to the
lower edge of the filler hole, corresponding to a capacity of 3.2 liters (3.4 qt.).
