About the 4000
The 4000 was the US name for the Audi 80 from the 1980 to 1987 model years. The 80 shared its platform with the Volkswagen Passat until 1986, and the 4000 range included four- and five-cylinder models, diesels and the four-wheel-drive 4000 Quattro.
