Door Trim Panel, Removing

Door trim panel, removing

Work sequence

-

unscrew and remove door locking knob

-

remove inner door handle escutcheon

-

take off two screws holding armrest, pull away from panel

-

push out mirror control from back and disconnect electrical plug

-

unscrew and carefully pry off trim cover by side mirror

-

remove hold down screw at upper right corner of door trim panel

-

pull panel loose from clips in door frame

-

starting with clip nearest locking knob, push window slot seal off door flange

Distance between clips (a) = 195 mm

CAUTION

Place a cloth under screwdriver when prying to prevent damage to trim molding

-

insert screwdriver in window slot seal groove (arrow)

-

carefully push trim panel (with window slot seal attached) away from door flange and pull upwards
