Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

1.

Check the adjustment of the idle and maximum speed stop screws.

2.

With the engine off, have an assistant depress the accelerator fully.  The linkage should just touch the full speed stop screw.  If the linkage does not
reach the full throttle stop, or reaches the stop before the pedal reaches its stop adjust the cable.

3.

To adjust the cable remove the cable retaining clip and adjust the position of the cable until the lever just touches the full throttle stop.  Reinstall
the clip.

4.

Have your assistant fully depress and release the throttle pedal several times to check the adjustment.  Readjust, if necessary.
