unclip display unit (front and back) from base plate (arrows)

-

pull computer module and display unit out of base plate

Note

When installing tachometer with computer, be sure that contact pins of computer module fit exactly into sockets and that the 10 point connector for
computer is located in the opening of the base plate.
Computer, functional testing

Note

It is possible to check the condition of the various components of the computer by selecting the individual functions in the specified sequence.

If defective components are found, check wiring using the current flow diagram.

Always perform complete test procedure for functional testing.

Check these first:
Fuses S12, S4 OK

Reset Button

Checking

-

switch ignition OFF

-

press reset button and hold

-

switch ignition ON (continue pressing reset button)

Code Display

-

check illustration or code table for proper code

If proper code is displayed, - switch ignition OFF
-

check country code

If proper code is NOT displayed, - check function selector switch, - repeat test

If code is NOT displayed or displayed incorrectly, - check fuel consumption sender, - repeat test
