Function selector switch, rear view

-

connect ohmmeter between contact R and 31

^

specified value: infinity ohms

-

press reset button

^

specified value: approx. 0 ohm

-

connect ohmmeter between contact 31 and 1

^

specified value: infinity ohm

-

push left function selector switch

^

specified value: approx. 0 ohm

-

connect ohmmeter between contact 31 and 2

^

specified value: infinity ohm

-

push right function selector switch

^

specified value: approx. 0 ohm

If specified values are not obtained, - replace function selector switch

Wire Connector, Function Selector Switch

-

switch ignition ON

-

connect voltmeter between contacts 31 and 15 of 6 point wire connector

-

turn park lights ON and turn instrument panel illumination control to the left as far as it will go

^

specified value: approx. 12.0V

-

switch ignition OFF

If specified values are NOT obtained, - repair wiring using current flow diagram

If specified values are obtained, - remove instrument cluster
-

check for continuity between wire connector of function selector switch and connector of computer
