Speedometer Sensor

-

remove speedometer sensor from transmission

-

reconnect electrical connector to speedometer sensor

-

peel back rubber boot from electrical connector

-

connect voltmeter between contact 2 and 3

-

switch ignition ON

-

turn shaft on speedometer sensor slowly clockwise

specified value: 0 to 8.0 V pulsing voltage

-

switch ignition OFF

If specified value is NOT obtained, - replace speedometer sensor

If specified value is obtained, - remove instrument cluster (do not remove electrical connector)

Speedometer Sensor Connector

Instrument Cluster Connector A - Yellow Band

-

check continuity between wire from contact 2 of speedometer sensor connector and contact 5 of instrument cluster connector A (yellow band)

^

specified value: approx. 0.0 ohm

If specified value is NOT obtained, - repair break in wiring
