PRESSURE REGULATOR/ENGINE SHUT-OFF

The pressure regulator also acts as one way check valve to maintain pressure in the system once the engine has been shut off. It works like this.
When the engine is shut off the regulating spring will push the diaphragm and valve body down. This will close the sealing plate and shut off the
return passageway to the tank thereby maintaining residual pressure in the system.
