Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Two different ignition coils are used on cars with CIS-E III injection systems.

Version I

Disconnect the harness plug from the ignition coil power stage.
Remove the high tension wire from the coil.

Disconnect the harness plug from the ignition coil power stage.
Remove the high tension wire from the coil
Remove the screw from the terminal lug cover to gain access to the terminals.
