Seat Heater: Description and Operation

Circuit Description

Power is supplied to theheated seat switches from the "X" (load-reduction) circuit of the main fuse/relay panel whenever the ignition switch is in the
"On" position. The heated seat control units are powered from the "30" circuit of the main fuse/relay panel via fuse #25 (S25).

The variable-position heated seat switches on the instrument panel and temperature sensors in each seat control the temperature of the heating elements.

NOTE:  Locations of the driver-side and passenger-side heated seat control units on the auxiliary relay panel may be interchanged on some cars. Use
care when troubleshooting the circuit. If necessary, check the wire colors at the rear of the relay panel.
