Hydraulic Brake Servo: Technical Service Bulletins
Installing Brake Servo
^
disconnect return line from connector piece
^
shorten hose by approx. 50 mm
^
loosely connect return line to new brake servo
^
install new brake servo at bulkhead
^
tightening torque: 20 N-m (15 ft.lb.)
Note
In the new servo design, the weep hole located next to the warning light switch must face downward (toward the ground).
^
position clevis at brake pedal and fasten with pin
^
install new securing clip onto clevis pin
^
engage return spring at clevis
^
attach diagnostic wiring to storage compartment, driver's side
^
install storage compartment
CAUTION
When routing brake lines, carefully bend them in large arcs. Do not kink the lines.
connect return line (right arrow) to connector piece
^
route return line free of kinks and interference, then tighten at brake servo (upper left arrow)
^
position seal at bulkhead
^
connect wiring at switch (lower left arrow)
CAUTION
Pressure and return lines MUST be connected to their proper locations, or damage and leakage will result.
connect pressure line, first at brake servo (arrow a), then at pressure accumulator, Part No. 8A1 612 067*. Tighten
