SELF DIAGNOSIS
The system does not check the plausibility of this sensor signal, but does use the signal as a reference to check the plausibility of the idle switch signal.
If the ECU detects a fault with the air mass sensor, the signal from the throttle valve potentiometer will be used instead, so that the vehicle can still be
driven until repairs are made.
