Condition:

Sharp edges (burrs and/or flashing) on cam cover or cylinder head sealing surface damages gasket material.

Production:

Remove flashing/burrs from cylinder head and cam cover sealing areas.

Service:

In case of customer complaints of oil leaks at the cam cover, inspect the sealing surfaces of both cylinder head and cam cover for burrs and/or flashes. If
these conditions are evident, remove imperfections with small file. "Do not remove any material other than extruding flash or burrs." (Replace cam cover
gaskets).
