How to Use Wiring Diagrams

Audi wiring diagrams are divided into two types; the Main diagram and Optional Equipment diagrams.  All diagrams are broken up by current
track numbers.  For 1993-on, diagrams have changed format.  Component names are no longer listed on the schematic next to the component. 
Instead, an alpha-numeric code (example - J124) designates the component in the diagram.  A legend at the bottom of each page identifies
components (by their code), ground locations, welded harness points, and wire color codes, that are included in the diagram.

The main diagram can be found under Diagrams / Electrical / Main Diagrams.  Component locations by track number, connector locations,
ground locations, and welded harness point locations, and a list of optional equipment system diagrams are also found there.

Finding components on a diagram:
1. See Component Location by Track Number and identify the current track number(s) that include the desired component(s).
2. Refer to Diagrams by Track Number, and select the diagram for the desired current tracks.

NOTE: Current track number references in the diagram refer only to that diagram.  Any connection from an Optional diagram to the Main
diagram, will refer to a component in the Main diagram.
