Removing and installing rear seat backrest
Removing and installing rear seat backrest
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -3409-

Removing
–  Remove the rear seat bench → Chapter.
–  Remove the luggage compartment floor covering.
–  Detach -arrow- the cover -1- to the rear from the centre mount by releasing the retainer tabs -2, 3- of the cover with the removal wedge -3409-.

–  Fold the rear seat backrest forwards.
–  Screw out the bolt -1-.
–  Lift up -arrow- the catch -2- at the rear, disengage at the centre mount at the front and detach.

–  Use a screwdriver to release -arrow- the fastener -2-.
–  Disengage the rear seat backrest -1- at the mounts and remove from the vehicle.
Installing
–  Insert the rear seat backrest in the vehicle and press downwards until it engages firmly at the fastener -2-.
Perform further installation operations in the reverse order of removal.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
