Separating and joining backrest cover and backrest padding - rear seat bench
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634-

Separating
–  Remove the backrest cover with backrest padding for the rear seat bench → Chapter.
–  Detach the backrest cover -1- as far as possible from the backrest padding -2- and use pliers to snip off the upholstery clips -3-.
Joining
Join in the reverse order.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
