Separating and joining seat cover and seat padding - rear seat bench

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634-

Removing

–	Remove the rear seat bench → Chapter.

–	Disengage the fastening strip for the seat cover all round the seat frame → Chapter.

–	Detach the seat cover -2- as far as possible from the seat padding -3- and use pliers to snip off the upholstery clips -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
