Removing and installing backrest heating element Z7/Z9 - standard seat (fabric version)
Removing and installing backrest heating element -Z7-/-Z9- - standard seat (fabric version)
Heated backrest for driver seat -Z7-/heated backrest for front passenger seat -Z9-
Removing
–  Separate the backrest cover and backrest padding for the standard seat → Chapter.
   
–  Sever the wire -1- right at the old heating element -3-.
  Note
Leave the old heating element attached to the backrest padding -2- and affix the new heating element over it.
Installing
–  Align the new heating element on the backrest padding.
–  Detach the backing from the heating element, taking care not to damage the heating element.
–  Bond on the heating element exactly over the old heating element without any creases.
Perform further installation operations in the reverse order of removal.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
